The honey connoisseur’s choice and known as the British Manuka. This delicious British Ling Heather honey is made by bees from Exmoor National Park in late Summer.

This new extremely limited batch is totally unfiltered to preserve the good stuff. The toffee coloured honey has a glossy texture and a powerful and aromatic flavour with a hint of citrus. As with all honeys, it can granulate.

  • TA Score: 21 (see tab below for more info)
  • Great Taste Award Winner: 1 Star
  • Honey weight: 200g

Honey’s antimicrobial quality is measured by the term “Total Activity (TA)”. The higher the TA score the greater the antimicrobial strength.

Most unpasteurised and coarse filtered ("raw") honey types possess some activity level, usually on a scale from 1 to 20. Honeys with Total Activity over 10+ are considered to have substantial antimicrobial properties.

Excellent honey

I use it in a turmeric paste for health benefits as an alternative to Manukau. So glad I found this British alternative which has a far better taste, costs less and virtually on my doorstep! Quick delivery, well packaged will be using it all the time now!

Wow, just wow!!

This has got to be my favourite honey from Black Bee. It has such a beautiful array of flavours that seem to change from first taste to savouring it in the mouth to a gorgeous after-taste. The texture is sublime, on the firmer side of runny with a very slight granular edge that melts away in the mouth. Absolutely superb. While it's great drizzled over porridge or fat free yoghurt the ultimate enjoyment of this King (maybe should be Queen in the circumstances...) of honeys is obtained by dipping a teaspoon into it and savouring its lovely gorgeousness just on its own every time I'm passing the cupboard!
