Our British Autumn Honey is made by bees taken onto the moors in August when the Ling Heather is in bloom. The bees produce an incredibly aromatic honey with a uniquely thick and silky texture. Similar to a Manuka honey, Ling Heather honey has high antibacterial properties but it’s also great on toast, on your porridge or straight from the jar.
Sourced from apiaries across Yorkshire and Scotland. Check the back of the label to reveal the location and the name of the beekeeper who helped craft your jar of honey.

Honey’s antimicrobial quality is measured by the term “Total Activity (TA)”. The higher the TA score the greater the antimicrobial strength.
Most unpasteurised and coarse filtered ("raw") honey types possess some activity level, usually on a scale from 1 to 20. Honeys with Total Activity over 10+ are considered to have substantial antimicrobial properties.

Every honey they sell is great but this Autumn is my favourite, it has a lovely texture and a fruit like sweetness, a mix of berries and apples.

Excellent Honey
I very much enjoy good quality honey, and much prefer it to the cheaper supermarket brands. I bought a pot of Black Bee Autumn Honey some time ago in a National Trust shop, and liked it so much I bought a pack of four pots from the Black Bee website, earning a very welcome significant saving.
